About this procedure
The residence and work permit allows foreigners to work in Spain legally. There are different modalities depending on whether you will work for a company or as an independent professional, and each one has specific requirements and procedures.
Residence and Employment
Foreigners who have a formal offer of employment in Spain and whose employer is willing to process the corresponding authorization.
Contract signed
There must be a real job offer, with conditions in accordance with Spanish labor regulations.
Company Documents
The company must be legally incorporated and up to date with its tax obligations.
Job Evaluation
It must be verified that the position is included in the SEPE's Catalog of Difficult to Fill.
Professional qualification
Training or experience appropriate to the position offered must be accredited.
Application Procedure

Job Offering and Analysis
It is verified that there is a valid contract and that the company complies with the legal requirements to be able to request the autiorization.

Application Preparation and Submission
The documentation of the employee and the employer is gathered and the application is submitted to the competent administration.

Resolution and Obtaining Visa at Consulate
Once the authorization is granted, the corresponding visa is processed at the Consulate of your residence.
04.
Issuance of Residence Card (TIE)
Upon entry, an Alien Identification Card (TIE) is required to prove residence and work permit.
Residence and Self-Employment
Foreign individuals who wish to start a business or develop an economic activity as self-employed in Spain.
Viable Project
A realistic business plan must be presented that justifies the activity to be developed.
Economic Investment
Availability of resources to implement the project must be accredited.
Professional Qualification
Training or experience related to the activity to be performed must be demonstrated.
